Wecome to Freewater Experience. We are an outdoors-based ministry that with a number of different programs for families, teens, and outdoorsmen of all ages. Here are some of the events and activities that we offer throughout the year...
BC - BASE CAMP
Faith, fun, and deep, positive relationships...that's what BC is all about. This weekly group meeting will be coming soon to a home near you. Open to high school students, it's a time to talk about life, faith, and challenges that teens face every day. With fun activities and deep discussions, it's a great chance to be a part of a positive community of people who care about you. Take a Young Life club, then add a healthy dose of Survivor Man, and you have a great picture of BC. Life is an adventure, and every adventure needs a Base Camp. Watch for specific times and locations in the next few weeks.
Every Sunday afternoon at 2pm, we're getting a group of 
people together to do some trap shooting at a property in Nunica. This is a great chance for new shooters to practice their skills with some great coaching in a non-competitive setting. If you're a more experienced shooter, we can make things a little more challenging for you too. You don't even have to own a gun...we can provide everything you need! We're going to keep these groups fairly small, so if you're interested, contact us in advance. This is a great opportunity for groups of friends, birthdays, scout groups, youth groups, and even sports teams. Cost is around $10 for each shooter.
Want to hit the water? Give us a call and we'll take you to the places where fishing is hot right now. These are free/donation-based fishing trips...if you want to make a contribution or become a regular donor for Freewater Experience, that's great. If you can't afford to make a donation, we're just excited to get you out there and share some time on the water with you. We custom fit these trips for anglers of all ages and all skill levels.
OUTDOORS COACHING
Take us to your favorite fishing or hunting spot, and we'll show you how to get the most out of it. Bring us on board your boat and we'll show you the best ways to set up and catch more fish in your home waters. In the field, we can walk your hunting grounds, pattern the animals, show you the best spots to hunt, and set up stands or blinds to give you the best chance of success this season.
SURVIVAL CAMP
If you were lost in the woods with minimal equipment, could you survive? Would you know how to build a shelter, start a fire, find clean water, and gather food from the woods around you? If you're a fan of Survivor Man or Man Vs. Wild, this weekend trip is for you. We will be looking to plan our next trip in the coming year, so stay tuned for specific dates.

OUTDOOR EDUCATION CLASSES
Freewater Experience will be working alongside the outdoor education classes at Grand Haven High School and Central High School for the purpose of supporting these excellent programs, and for building relationships with the students who love outdoor activities. If you're one of these students, welcome to our site! Check out some of the activities that we offer and consider joining us for an outdoor adventure!
HARD TIME HUNTERS
Many people around us are falling under hard times, and we can make a difference! Freewater Experience is partnering with Covenant Life Church to get food to those who could use a little help this coming fall and winter. Consider donating a portion of the game that you get this fall, or a whole animal if your freezer is getting full. Contact us and we'll receive your donation, then pass it on to those who need it. Requirements for donations are:
- Deer or Elk (any other animals or fish, call us first)
- Meat from this year only...let's give from the top of our freezer, not the bottom
- Burger, roasts, or steaks (easy cuts for those who may not be used to cooking wild game)
